Enhancing Communications and Security at DFW Airport
As part of a larger project team, Apex Engineered Solutions has made significant contributions to improve security, information services, and safety for travelers and employees at The Dallas / Fort Worth International Airport. To make a noticeable impact at one of the largest and busiest airports in the world is a challenge unto itself, and we’ve delivered with design requirements for the airport’s data, video, and telephone network services. Field devices including automated access control (AACS), closed circuit TV (CCTV), and dynamic message displays (DMS) are utilized to improve the travel experience for millions passengers every year. Apex Engineered Solutions’ response to these requirements assists the airport board in responding to operational demands.

Roadway - Engineering

Delivering Roadway Solutions across Texas
Texas roadways are known as some of the nation’s best, and Apex Engineered Solutions is proud to play a part in earning that reputation. As part of our frequent work on Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA), and local city projects, we support design requirements for Traffic Engineering, Illumination, ITS, Signalization, and Project Management support. For interstate highways, arterials, toll roads, airport roadways, residential intersections, etc our engineers and designers provide the needed design support for short and long-term engagements including engineering studies, design documents, specification documentation, cost proposals (opinion of probable costs), and solution justifications. Whether providing signalized intersection justification for City of Carrollton; providing high-mast, safety, and underpass lighting for City of Houston; or designing placement of CCTVs cameras, DMSs, MVDs, and communication hubs for City of DallasApex Engineered Solutions’ footprint is clearly visible across Texas roadways.

Defense - Technology

Providing Technical Systems Support for Patriots
The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) works 24-hours every day of the year in support of the Warfighter. As such keeping systems up and running understandable considered mission critical. Apex Engineered Solutions continues to play a lead role within the Department of Defense providing on-site Customer Service, PC Support, and System Administration at DISA’s premier data center (DECC-OKC). Apex Engineered Solutions’ staff has serves as the first and second-level customer interface on varying reported computer-related issues, providing timely response to ensure costly downtime is avoided for onsite and offsite customers.

Government - Administrative Services

Filling in at the SBA
When a local operating center of the Small Business Administration needed extra resources to execute a backlog of financial transactions, the agency contracted with Apex Engineered Solutions for administrative support. To accommodate their need, we conducted rapid screenings and ramp-up of qualified candidates to assist the SBA’s Office of Financial Program Operations with consolidation and disposition of at-risk and failed loan portfolios. While qualified support is always key, superior execution was mandatory due to the congressional testimony which reported ongoing status of the operation.

Streamlining EPA Operations
Even the Environmental Protection Agency gets bogged down in paperwork and electronic records. So when the EPA brought in outside help to streamline its data management processes, Apex Engineered Solutions glady worked as a sub-consultant to assist with various administrative functions. Our personnel worked alongside EPA staff members to maximize their productivity by performing document imaging, data entry, and systematic recording of packages into the agency’s document management system. The EPA also benefited from our company’s quality control of inbound hard-copy packages, as well as labeling and collating packages for downstream operations.

Bringing Relief to FEMA Facilities
To deal with America’s natural disasters effectively, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has to be adequately prepared – sometimes this preparation includes focusing on updating its own logistics facilities. FEMA has called on Apex Engineered Solutions to execute a series of facility/operational upgrades, improvements, and renovations which better positioned the agency to operate efficiently and respond to its community. Apex Engineered Solutions’ services were as varied as the FEMA agency itself. From technology deployment and integration of an audio-visual infrastructure providing visibility of real-time operational data to facility updates which enhanced workplace conditions.

Keeping a College Connected
Students and faculty at Texas A&M Kingsville enjoy wireless connectivity and access to the university curriculum including its video conferencing network. These services where regionally expanded, and Apex Engineered Solutions served as the key program/project manager managing the integration of 19 antenna towers into the campus WAN. With our local office serving as command-central, Apex Engineered Solutions led critical project aspects including scheduling; coordination of architectural/engineering design; contractor and consultant collaboration; system installation; FAA, ISD, and city agency reporting, and customer status reporting.

Financial - Technology

Ensuring Software Success at Capital One
Capital One Auto Finance, a national leader in automotive loans, needed to integrate a third-party software application into its enterprise network environment. Apex Engineered Solutions provided technical consulting on the project to ensure a smooth transition, developing the selection, test and validation process for the new software. We generated detailed test plans, identified system requirements for testing, and scheduled and confirmed procedures for full-scope testing of the software’s functional processes. The project came in ahead of schedule, allowing Capital One Auto Finance to roll out its business-improving application with seamless success.

Government - Engineering

Assisting the Air Force with Transformation
The U.S. Air Force Reserve, which holds operations on the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Fort Worth, contracted with Apex Engineered Solutions to convert a storage warehouse to a multi-use facility for the honor guard. Working within the customer’s tight budget and unique requirements, we oversaw the design and construction phases, facilitating all contractor meetings and customer reviews. The project demanded close collaboration with the customer throughout the entire process, allowing Apex Engineered Solutions to demonstrate its commitment to complete customer satisfaction.
